Play Out Facility

Wapping Broadcast operates a full channel play out service. Whether you are producing live material from one of Wapping's TV studios, or your content is all pre-recorded, or whether you are producing live material elsewhere which needs to be integrated with other content, we have a solution for you.

We have provided a huge variety of play out and interactive services for clients including Gala, TwoWay media, SportsXchange, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

The capability at Wapping Broadcast is to provide full play out (Audio and video content, pre-recorded or live) for Broadcast to BT, Arqiva or Globecast.

We can offer:

• Potential to broadcast through Arqiva or Globecast or via facility line to BT
• Downlink transmission from other satellites
• Transmit play out both automated (pre-recorded) or live from studios in-house, or at an outside production company
• Automation: Pharos automated system
• Storage for pre-recorded content(Server Space, Omneon)
• Scheduling system: Pharos system, integrated with Starfish if necessary. (Possibility to integrate with any other scheduling solution, provided cost is accounted for)
• Talk Back (communication from the Gallery to our Transmission via ISDN line)
• Library space (In house library for tapes)
• TRANSMISSION: 24/7/365 monitoring and Fault reporting
• Transfer: ingest, dubs etc
• Compliance recording (if necessary when holding broadcast license)
• Stand-by material (Evergreen, emergency or maintenance slates)
• Bug generators: Digital Onscreen Brockets used for logo's, channel idents, straps, crawls, reverse L
• Trigger for Red button if the channel has interactive capability
• UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) Protection for all Play out, protecting it until the backup generator is started.
